Taffy Activewear Review & Giveaway!

Something that I have tried to do, throughout my “blogging career,” is not only empower my plus sized sisters to do things they think they can’t (like run a half marathon!) but I’ve also tried to provide shopping resources. Finding clothes can be frustrating and really hard (especially if, like me, you’re seemingly constantly between straight and plus sizes) and this has been especially true of finding quality workout gear.
A few weeks ago, Sweat Pink Ambassadors were offered the chance to review Taffy Activewear, a functional activewear line for ladies with curves. I was torn on whether to pick the Essential Jacket or the Essential Capri. I went with the capris, and I’m so glad I did.
Honestly – I was worried when I ordered the 1X that it would be too big for me, but the size chart says it equates to a 12/14, so I went with it. When they arrived, they got packed into my gym bag without me even trying them on before BodySTEP, which I expected to be a fatal error. I spend so many classes hiking up my drawers because it seems like if something fits me in the waist, it doesn’t fit me anywhere else, and I’m in a constant state of being uncomfortable. My hips are really the biggest problem on my body as they are disproportionate to the rest of me, which makes it hard to dress.
I was shocked and happy when the Taffy Activewear capris fit me perfectly, and didn’t seem to move throughout my whole workout! They have room for my hips and booty while still being able to sit up on my waist. I also really like the red detail. I usually go for plain black (because I’m obsessive about my outfits matching), but I thought I’d go outside the box a little this time and opt for some color.
In addition to providing me a pair to review, they’ve also offered to do a giveaway of the Essential Capri to a reader! Enter the Rafflecopter below. Sorry, this is open to US residents only!

Super cute! I am so glad the pants held up to bodySTEP – I’ve definitely brought new gear to classes before and regretted it. 😉
Is it socially acceptable to say my favorite place to wear workout clothes is everywhere? 🙂
Cute! Never seen those would love to try them
Cute! I’ve had the best luck at Old Navy, it I still haven’t found that perfect sports bra or tank, so I’m on the lookout!
I usually shop at SkirtSport or my local running store but it is really hard to find items that fit, even as I lose weight.
So far I don’t have any workout gear. I just wear a pair of sweats and a tee shirt. I am new to all this and really NEED something to work out in, that is comfortable and doesn’t make me look like a beached whale.
I am down 30 lbs and have another 75 to go.
I would say Gap or Old Navy would be some places I used to find workout gear.
I get workout gear at lots of places, including Target.
I really like Fleet Feet 🙂
I am a deal finder like you. I love Sierra Trading Post, The Clymb, Active Gear Up and similar and getting stuff at race expos. And free trials of course. Check out my “Found Links” page for all of my shopping tips at ericafinds.com. (Trying to win these for my bestie :))
