fitness haul

Wow.

A few weekends ago, I was determined to go through my closet and my dresser to move out things that don’t fit, things I don’t wear, things just taking up space. I tried to be ruthless, and I knew it would take more than one cull to move out the things I have an emotional attachment to, and I was right. I still have one more closet run to go through (and I need to attack the dresser…) but I was able to free up a lot of hangers on the first pass!

Since Thanksgiving, I’ve been trying to rebuild my closet. Replace things that are worn out (so why am I still wearing my favorite sweater, even though it has a hole in it?) or things that don’t fit anymore. It’s been a blessing and a curse, surely, but at least shopping for new clothes is fun (most of the time). Plus wearing cute outfits makes it so much easier to go to the gym 🙂

I love looking at hauls and seeing what other people are getting and while I had all my new workout gear laid out, I thought I’d post another. My last mini-fitness haul is one of my most popular posts, and I really got great deals on (almost) everything. I will try to add links if things are still available/price things out in case anyone is interested. (My SD card is MIA, so these photos are all via my iPhone. Apologies!) Check it out:

As you can see, I have no excuse to go shopping for awhile! But being a new runner means I had to stock up on a LOT of things, because I couldn’t find very good deals last year (nor was I really looking for cold weather gear.) Some things I picked up solely to be throwaways, and some of it (all of the lulu gear except the CRB plus a few other things) were gifts from my mom. She honestly went sort of crazy on Black Friday.

I have noticed a lot of places lately making lululemon-lookailke things. The gray Old Navy t-shirt is a lot like the Swiftly, as is the purple long-sleeve Gap shirt. The Gap shorts are very Speed Short-like. This is good because you a) don’t have to shop at lululemon (despite the amount I just shelled out on all that gear, I still hate their company…) and b) don’t have to shell out all that cash. There are a few things that I might return (I’m not sure if I love those lucy leggings, and I know I don’t love the Amped crop, so I will try to sell them) but I am overall very happy with what I got and what I spent.

As you can see, I did get some really great deals! $3 for shorts? $4 and $8 dollars for pullovers and crops? Yes please! I am CRAZY about GapFit and Old Navy Active, and lucked upon 50% off sale styles at Gap as well as pairing 20% off Old Navy clearance with an additional 20% off coupon.

The “Running Wild” tank is for NP and I as we run Tink on Sunday! We were getting very stressed about what we were going to wear or who we were going to dress up as, and when I saw these, I knew that was it. I’m going to try to get my hair to sit in a crazy teased mess on my head and maybe wear a tiara as well. I’m sure I’m going to add to my collection and go wild at the expo.. but hey, at least I made some room for it.

What’s your best fitness gear score? Where do you prefer to shop?
