And an expensive one, at that.

I’ve had a dental issue that I chose to ignore for over a year. It finally got to a point a few weeks ago that I chose to finally deal with it. The original price quote was around $270 – would suck, but I could have diverted savings for a month to cover it. During the procedure, they discovered that it was worse than they anticipated, and now I’m faced with probably paying out of pocket for a root canal unless the temporary filling lasts until my dental insurance kicks in in January.

I’m so upset, but it’s just kicking home the point of an emergency fund. It’s not for fun spending – it’s for an emergency.
