This is probably one of the most expensive full outfits I own, but when I found it I haaaaad to have it. I knew it was perfect. (I would have liked higher-waisted shorts, but I literally had no shorts at all, so I had to grab something.) The first time I wore this outfit was in Los Angeles this past May.

Shorts: $19, Mossimo (Target)
Sunglasses: $5, Aldo
Sandals: free via a friend, Mossimo (Target)
Clutch: free via a friend, Coach knockoff

Container Store bag: $5 (Had to pick up some Space Bags to make it home – which is sad, because these were the only things I bought on the trip…)
